2023년 싱글 앨범 ‘That Karma‘로 유니크한 존재감을 보여줬던 글로벌 걸그룹 BLACKSWAN(블랙스완)이 2024년 7월 31일 오후 6시 첫 번째 EP 앨범 ‘Roll Up‘으로 돌아온다.

2023년 5월 19일 ‘That Karma‘ 앨범 발매 후 독보적인 글로벌 걸그룹의 자리를 차지했던 블랙스완 BLACKSWAN(블랙스완)은 CNN, BBC, Rolling Stones, Billboard 등 전 세계 주요 미디어로부터 K-pop Scene에서의 그들의 활약을 집중 조명 받았으며,

지난 앨범을 통해 그들이 추구하는 방향성과 한국인이 포함 되어있지 않은 외국인으로만 이루어진 K-POP 그룹에 대한 수많은 물음표에 대한 화두를 최초로 던졌던 그들이 이번 앨범을 통해 조금 더 나아가 그 물음표를 느낌표로 바꿔보려 한다.

[Roll Up]의 첫 번째 트랙 ‘C‘est Jamais Vue’

‘C’est jamais vue‘는 블랙스완의 감각적인 보컬과 Blurred Line Publishing이 만나 완성된 곡이다. 딥 하우스 장르를 기반으로 한 이 곡은 펑키한 리듬과 트렌디하면서도 중독성 있는 멜로디가 돋보이며, 세련된 신디사이저 사운드와 그루브한 베이스라인이 어우러져 K팝 특유의 에너지와 스타일을 함께 담아내고 있다. 특히, 블랙스완의 리더 파투가 작사에 참여하여 그녀의 감각적인 가사가 곡의 퀄리티를 한층 업그레이드시켜준다. 이 곡은 혁신적인 프로듀싱 팀인 ‘Blurred Line Publishing‘의 곡으로 혁신적인 송 라이팅과 뮤직 프로덕션을 바탕으로 아티스트 브랜딩을 성공적으로 결합하여, 세대를 초월하는 히트곡을 탄생시키는 길을 걸어가고 있다. ‘Double Down‘은 통통 튀는 비트와 트렌디한 신스가 이끄는 중독성 있는 곡으로 여름에 어울리는 청량감 있는 곡이다. 이번 앨범의 타이틀곡 ‘Roll Up‘과는 180도 다른 블랙스완의 매력을 가감 없이 보여주는 이지 리스닝 곡으로 청중들이 따라 부르기 쉽게 구성되어 있으며, 2024년 6월 두바이 워터 밤 무대에서 최초로 선공개 되었다. 이 곡의 작사 작곡은 지난 앨범 ‘Karma‘ 프로듀싱에 참여했던 Alina Smith (LYRE), Annalise Morelli (LYRE), Shark, A Wright, JEDI가 의기투합하였고 작사는 Alina Smith (LYRE), Annalise Morelli (LYRE), 편곡은 Shark, A Wright, JEDI가 참여하여 완성도를 높였다.

Global girl group BLACKSWAN who showed a unique presence with their 2023 single album ‘That Karma,‘ is about to return with their first EP album ‘Roll Up‘ at 6pm KST on July 31, 2024.

After the release of the album ‘That Karma‘ on May 19, 2023, BLACKSWAN was spotlighted on their performances in K-pop Scene by major media around the world, including CNN, BBC, Rolling Stones, and Billboard etc. As a global girl group, they have already performed in front of numerous audiences from various countries such as Belgium, India, the United States, and UAE etc. In particular, BLACKSWAN is the first K-pop idol group to be invited to the 2023 Odisha Hockey World Cup opening ceremony, a global mega event happened in 2023, to perform in front of an audience of about 60,000 people, and to boast an extraordinary history by promoting in Mumbai, the center of the Indian entertainment industry known as ‘Bollywood‘, and Los Angeles, the center of the U.S. entertainment industry. In particular, producer Rob Grimaldi, who produced BTS‘ song ‘Butter,‘ is a Grammy nominated/multi platinum producer. In addition, KANY participated on the choreography for the song to showcase BLACKSWAN‘s powerful performances.
